Synthetic fragrances
Most fragrances do not require more detailed identification on a product label than simply “perfume” or “fragrance.” However, synthetic fragrances in particular can trigger allergic reactions – some of these, such as eugenol, citronellol, or farnesol, must therefore be listed separately in the ingredients.
Synthetic fragrances are some of the most common ingredients in cosmetics that have no real effect. Our UND GRETEL Foundation Lieth also contains perfume, but we use only natural fragrances in our certified (BDIH-compliant) natural cosmetics.
