Aluminum or aluminum salts
In the drugstore, you can find plenty of deodorants which are labeled as containing 0% aluminum salts. These harmful salts were once ubiquitously used to prevent unpleasant odors and to seal off sweat glands. According to the European Food Safety Authority, the weekly intake of this harmful substance should not exceed 1 milligram per kilogram of body weight.
Anyone who applies a deodorant containing aluminum every day will certainly exceed this limit. Aluminum and aluminum salts are suspected of increasing the risk of Alzheimer's and breast cancer.
