8 brushes, 1 mission:
Flawless makeup.

Perfect for
The contouring brush for all occasions
Mirror, mirror on the wall: What makes me beautiful and is easy to do? If makeup mirrors could talk, their answer would be: "Blush, baby, and don't forget the contouring!" Perfectly placed colors make as much difference to your appearance as night and day. Anyone who gets out of bed in the morning (and not in a beach villa) usually brushes their teeth and sees a face that may have been well-rested but pale. A little later, after skillfully using a contouring brush and color cosmetic: what a difference! My cheeks are rosy, my nose and lips have a soft glow, and my complexion is in a harmonious interplay of light and shadow.
Just as Yang Guifei, the favorite concubine of the Tang Emperor Li Longji Xuanzong, once invented it for herself. According to the story, Yang Guifei, a curvaceous beauty with a round face, used the first blush made from dried safflower blossoms to create a bold, rosy cheekbone that complemented her cherry-colored lips. This sparked a trend that continues to this day. To further sculpt faces and give them visibly more dimension, the makeup gods invented contouring a few centuries later. First for the theater crowd, then for Hollywood's movie idols – and thanks to Kim Kardashian, the rest of the world now simply uses makeup to create defined cheekbones, a prominent jawline, and fuller lips. It's all made possible by the right balance of shading and lighting. The makeup tool of choice: an ideally shaped contour brush, which in the case of the Blush & Contouring Brush No. 3 also functions as a blush brush.
Its slightly slanted tip makes the contour brush the perfect blush buddy and contour king – a dream tool for quickly conjuring up a morning blush and highlights in the blink of an eye! It distributes the two colors of the WONNE blush as well as the powder duo SUNNE and ILGE as a setting powder onto the skin as desired. Its soft brush bristles ensure harmonious blending of the colors, resulting in a perfectly contoured face. Thanks to the bio-plastic production, the contouring brush is vegan – and is part of a collection whose beautifully shaped handles blend powdered wheat straw and a bio-plastic made from corn starch. The brush bristles – soft, durable and with a gentle shine – are made from 100% recycled plastic and are hygienically washable. This means that all brushes contribute to environmental protection right from the start. And of course, like its "siblings," the contour brush is optimally matched to the performance of UND GRETEL's color products.
Blush and contouring products have evolved enormously, taking makeup experiences to a whole new level. Not only do versatile, modern formulations and optimized contour brushes demonstrate how creative makeup can be, but a wider selection of highly pigmented blushes—from red to rose to orange and bluish shades—suits all skin tones. The range of tools for application and blending has expanded accordingly: sponges are suitable for creams, brushes for powder, and fingers for liquid blush. The fact is: Colors, formulas, and tools are making applying blush increasingly more enjoyable.
Do's & Don'ts for Blush and Contouring
Makeup invites experimentation—and opens up many ways to find your personal style. To achieve different effects, blush, for example, can be applied in a variety of ways.
- High on the cheekbones towards the temple for a lifted look.
- On the cheeks to make the face look youthfully round.
- On the nose for a beach day look.
A common mistake is using products that don't suit your skin type. Powdery blush and contouring products tend to look unflattering on dry or mature skin. To avoid settling into fine lines or wrinkles, creamy products are recommended for skin that is above a certain condition. Reflective or shimmery makeup is also unsuitable for heavily textured skin, and matte makeup is better suited. Contouring brushes that are too large or too small also make applying blush more difficult: A contouring brush that is too large often places the color too high or too low, which disrupts the balance of the face. Blush brushes that are too small create visible lines and unevenness when blending. The best contouring brush for optimal blending is a medium-sized, soft, and slightly tapered brush – just like UND GRETEL's Best Blush Brush!
Long life for the blush & contouring brush
For beautiful contouring, face shape, skin texture, and age, as well as color selection, are all important. Here you'll find detailed step-by-step instructions. To make the most of the Blush & Contour Brush as a multipurpose tool, apply the appropriate color in a trio along the side of your face, emphasizing your features, and then blend with blush and your chosen highlighter until blending is seamless. To ensure your brush lasts a long time and your skin stays healthy, here are five tips:
- Clean the contouring brush every 7 to 10 days under lukewarm running water to remove any traces of makeup. To keep the adhesive that connects the brush head to the handle intact, only clean the tips of the bristles.
- Add one tablespoon of mild shampoo to a bowl of lukewarm water and swirl the brush tips in it. To create a cleansing lather, massage the contouring brush in the palm of your hand. Then rinse the tips under running water. Repeat this process until the water runs clear from the brush.
- Squeeze out excess moisture with a paper towel.
- To dry, lay the contouring brush flat on a towel, with the tips floating. Do not let the brush dry upright, as this will cause water to run into the brush head and dissolve the adhesive.
- Never share the Vegan Blush Brush with other people.
