Anti-aging: Gua Sha set in action
Fancy a natural facelift every day? Then the luxurious Gua Sha set from UND GRETEL should have a special place in your facial care routine. Daily treatment with the Gua Sha massage set keeps contours sharp, and the skin's circulation is nurtured, reducing wrinkles and swelling. To optimize massage rituals with the Gua Sha stone set, the Miracle Oil MINNE, made from the finest plant sources, postpones invasive anti-aging treatments to a more distant future. Or even makes them unnecessary altogether. A process that can be further enhanced by using the Gua Sha set with oil twice a week for lymphatic drainage. This combination facial treatment scores points holistically and in multiple ways for healthy, youthful skin. All tissue—whether dermis, connective tissue, muscles, or lymphatic vessels—is maximally circulated. With excellent circulation, the skin can release toxins, swelling is reduced, and the maximally stimulated deep tissue absorbs cosmetic active ingredients much better. The effects: The skin is smoother, fresher, healthier, more youthful, and the contours of the face remain firmer for longer!
Gua Sha massage with added value
To rejuvenate all tissue with lymphatic drainage using the Gua Sha massage set, all movements with the semi-precious stone are always performed 3 to 5 times per zone – from the inside out and always towards the lymph nodes on both sides of the neck. Gua Sha originates from traditional Chinese medicine and fundamentally improves blood circulation in the body and optimizes the elimination of accumulated toxins. MINNE 's Botanical Mix is an ideal facial oil for Gua Sha because it contributes many skin-positive properties: The plant-based facial oil in the Gua Sha set provides moisture that lasts longer in the dermis, soothes redness and irritation, and reduces swelling. Above all, the Inca Inchi oil contained in MINNE, rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, optimizes the complexion. Lymphatic drainage with a Gua Sha set around the face and décolleté is performed in several steps, for which a ritual time of approximately 25 minutes should be planned. Important: This massage is not suitable for blemished skin or deep-seated inflammation. If the lymphatic system is compromised or there are facial conditions, this advanced Gua Sha anti-aging treatment should be avoided.
The preparatory head massage
Less tension in the head means less tension in the face. This is because the forehead muscle runs over the top of the skull along the neck and down the back. The face reflects tension in the head, neck, shoulders, and back areas. For the head massage, each zone is worked on for at least 20 seconds, starting with the scalp. It is gently activated with all fingertips before the finger joints stroke several times from the middle of the head, laterally to the ears, and then along the back of the head towards the neck. Next, the ear region is worked on, including the tissue in and around the ears. Then the fingertips tap again from the middle of the head, laterally downward to the ears, back to the neck. This so-called tapping is extended to the forehead, eyebrows, and temples. Around the eyes, with feather-light ring finger pressure, you tap further over the cheeks, under the nose, on the chin, and along the jawline outwards to the jaw joint. Finally, the tapping route runs from the neck over the entire area between the ears and collarbones.
In use: The best Gua Sha Set
The neck muscles and forehead muscles are closely connected, which is why a neck massage also relieves tension in the face. To do this, first stroke one hand from the other wrist repeatedly over the inside of the arm towards the shoulder along the neck up to the ears. You will initially feel relaxation and the energy will flow. Each movement is repeated on the other side of the body. Then the fingertips of both hands massage the area between the shoulders and neck in a circular motion – as on the face, the MINNE oil from the Gua Sha massage set should also be applied here. To then open the lymphatic channels, the outside of the hands glide along the collarbones several times from the inside out and several times from the ears down to the collarbones. This prepares the lymphatic system for all the bodily fluids released in the face.
Smooth frown lines with the Gua Sha set: To reduce frown lines caused by tension, place the rounded side of the howlite stone from the Gua Sha set on the center of your forehead and move it in small, massaging circles. After a few seconds, move the stone slightly further outward, repeating the movements at each point until you reach your temples. Then work on the other side before smoothing the entire forehead three more times, starting from the center and massaging outward. Next, place the stone above each eyebrow and massage in a circular motion, gradually working your way toward your hairline. Finally, stroke the Gua Sha three times from each eyebrow to the hairline. To smooth out any frown lines, massage the area between your eyebrows gently, alternating between right and left. This movement also stimulates the "third eye" and reduces stress and anxiety. Finally, massage both temples with the steep side of the stone in a circular clockwise and counterclockwise motion to calm the mind.
Radiant eyes: The Gua Sha set also relieves puffiness under the eyes and dark circles. However, because the skin under the eyes is particularly thin, the pressure should be feather-light! To do this, the Gua Sha is moved from the base of the nose in gentle mini circles over the eyebrows and cheekbones back up to the eyebrows, three times on each side. To stimulate lymphatic flow in the often tense eyebrows, stroke the pointed corner of the massage stone three times each under and above the eyebrows, from the inside outwards. Where slight hardening is noticeable, you can additionally knead with gentle circular movements. Finally, gently stroke out towards the outer edge of the eyebrows.
Contour for the cheeks : To increase blood flow to the center of the face and stimulate collagen production, the treatment with the Gua Sha massage set begins at the chin. The long side of the stone is moved from here upwards over the cheeks towards the temples - at least 3 times from bottom to top, diagonally outwards. You can also stimulate the muscles in the center of the face by gently pinching and releasing the well-oiled skin of the cheeks several times with your index finger and thumb. If you apply this step gradually over the entire cheeks, it awakens all 3 layers of skin and deep muscle tissue. Fluid often collects in the nasolabial folds and under the cheekbones in particular, and this can be removed in this way. The facial contours become firmer and swelling decreases.
Beautifully relaxed mouth: A beautifully firm mouth area without fine lines around the lips and expression lines is the result of highly functional collagen and elastin production. To stimulate these, place the Gua Sha over the lips and hold your hand firmly on your cheek, then move the stone away from the cheek in at least three to five strokes. Work first in one direction, then the other, then repeat the process with the Gua Sha under the lips. Finally, massage the pointed corner of the stone in small circles around the lips.
Chin, jaw joint, and neck: The Gua Sha and oil set is very pleasant for working on the chin and jaw, helping to prevent the notorious "strawberry chin," reduce sagging of the jawline, and even benefit the neck muscles. To do this, the stone gradually moves from the chin towards the ears, applying light pressure. Gently loosen the teeth while keeping the lips gently closed. You can apply slightly firmer pressure to the jaw joint and hold it in a circular motion. This noticeably relieves tension, especially if you grind your teeth. Firmer, pumping, circular motions are useful along the chin and jawline—you should feel something to stimulate the deeper layers of skin. But not too much, of course. Massage each area for about 3 seconds, then work up to the ears. Finally, the stone glides lightly a few more times in both directions over the oil to the ears. From there, it moves on to the neck, where it is stroked alternately from bottom to top between the collarbone and jawline. First to the right, then to the left. Once your entire "big face" looks smooth, relaxed, and fresh, finishing with the cell-renewing ZART facial cream and the rejuvenating AMIE eye cream is a beautiful final step to glide into the day with maximum radiance.
