Sielmann's natural landscape Döberitzer Heide
The sustainable use of resources is part of the UND GRETEL vision. As Berlin's avant-garde natural cosmetics brand, the brand stands for so much more than beauty. The brand supports empowerment and environmental projects and brings together what belongs together just outside Berlin: the Döberitzer Heide Nature Landscape Biodiversity Project and the UND GRETEL mission.
The foundation's project is dedicated to the preservation of endangered animal and plant species across 3,600 hectares of natural landscape. The pristine open landscape of heathland, sandy areas, and dry grasslands is crisscrossed by 55 hiking trails, where herds of red deer and bison can be observed, as well as the rare Mongolian Przewalski horses. Through ongoing cooperation with this environmental project, UND GRETEL is committed to a better world – with on-site team activities and donations from profits. The community can also do good through purchases at special events such as the UND GRETEL Green Days.

ANIMAL WELFARE
PETA
You can get cruelty-free natural cosmetics from us every day. Since the very beginning, we've tested our products on ourselves, friends, and occasionally on celebrities, but never on animals. With your help, we've made a joint statement against animal testing. On the day we abolished all animal testing, we donated a portion of our sales to PETA to support their campaign against animal testing.
UND GRETEL keeps its word – and has therefore officially carried the PETA-Approved logo since the end of February 2024. The strict certification from the international animal welfare organization verifiably requires that neither we nor our suppliers test products or ingredients on animals. We have always worked 100% cruelty-free – and have had PETA confirm this for our new products as well.
EMPOWERMENT
We are all Ukrainians
The dramatic situation of mothers and their newborns in the war zone of Ukraine must be given more attention! The WE ARE ALL UKRAINIANS initiative by Tatjana Kiel and Wladimir Klitschko Together with many other strong women in business, we are giving courageous women and mothers in Ukraine a voice – by women for women! We firmly believe that it is the duty of today's entrepreneurs to take action themselves in these difficult times to quickly and effectively support initiatives like #WeAreAllUkrainians. Therefore, it was a given for us to address the issue and help together with dm-drogerie markt Germany and #WeAreAllUkrainians. Locally in Ukraine, there is a lack of the most essential products for mothers and babies in the postpartum period, as well as professional support.

EMPOWERMENT
TONI GARRN FOUNDATION
Toni Garrn is an ambassador for the global campaign "GIRLS GET EQUAL" by Plan International Germany eV and was appointed ambassador for SGD 5 "Gender Equality" by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2018. In 2016, she established her own foundation, the Toni Garrn Foundation , with which she primarily supports projects that empower girls. The foundation promotes the establishment and expansion of educational projects and the associated infrastructure to provide girls with safe and consistent access to training. At UND GRETEL, we want to empower and support women every day.

CARE
The Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe, or CARE for short, was founded over 75 years ago and has been committed to providing aid from person to person ever since. The CARE package for the Berlin Airlift was invented and initiated by this aid organization. Between 1946 and 1960, CARE distributed over ten million packages of powdered milk, butter, biscuits, and other foodstuffs in Germany alone. Today, CARE is one of the largest private aid organizations in the world. Every year, the team responds to emergencies and disasters with the help of donations. CARE is particularly committed to the participation of women and girls. Whether in climate protection, in crises, or in the fight for equal rights: Let's CARE together for female empowerment!
CHILD WELFARE
Street Children eV
Straßenkinder e.V. (Street Children) is a non-profit organization and independent youth welfare provider operating in Berlin for 20 years. With three areas of work, the organization now helps street children and socially disadvantaged children and young people. It reaches up to 200 children, young people, and disadvantaged young people every day. Through its street social work, the organization helps young homeless people find their way back into society. Support is provided through contact and counseling centers and adequate care in emergencies. Through the BOLLE Children's and Youth Center, Straßenkinder e.V. (Street Children) is committed to preventing child and educational poverty with a variety of leisure and educational opportunities. A third area of work also supports the integration of refugee children and young people.
