OUR MAKEUP TIPS FOR 6 DIFFERENT EYE SHAPES

Round eye shapes tend to look a bit doe-like. To take away the "bulgy" look and stretch the eye, focus your eye makeup on the upper eyelid and outer corners. To do this, accentuate the outer part of your eye with a kohl pencil or dark eyeshadow like our IMBE Eye Shadow BARK 01 or HOLT Eye Pencil DARK GREY 03 .

Light eyeshadow – like our IMBE Eye Shadow SEASHELL 04 – applied to the inner side of the upper eyelid and dark – like BARK 01 – applied to the outer half enhances exactly this effect.

For a more enhancing accent, you can draw a dark eyeliner line from the center of the eye outward, making it slightly wider. Our TINCTE Liquid Eyeliner is ideal for this. The brush tapers to an ultra-fine tip, which draws a flawless eyeliner with an artistic sweep. This visually widens the eye even further.

The lower lash line, on the other hand, should only be lightly emphasized. We want to avoid harsh lines here; liner or eyeshadow should be softly blended. It's recommended to use a lighter color here than the upper lash line. Instead of black mascara, we also recommend using a very light brown mascara, like our WINT Mascara CHESTNUT 01, for the lower lash line.

Classic smoky eyes are ideal for round eyes. With the LUK Cream Eye Stick, you can easily create this look – simply apply LUK around the eye and blend it slightly with your fingers. Et voilà: You have the two-minute smoky eye look. But be careful: If you have round eyes, your eyebrows shouldn't be plucked into a round shape.

To conceal slightly protruding eyes, matte eyeshadow shades in smoky dark tones such as our IMBE Eye Shadow LAVENDER GREY 05 are particularly suitable.

To make the eye appear smaller and set back, a dark eyeliner like HOLT Eye Pencil BLACK 01 , MOCHA 02 , or DARK GREY 03 is ideal. This makes the eye appear slightly smaller by reducing the white of the eye and making the eye appear slightly more recessed.

One thing you should avoid if you have prominent eyes is shiny or shimmery eyeshadow – they make your eyes appear even more prominent.

Do you have slightly deep-set eyes? Congratulations—that's easy to do. You can ideally emphasize your deep-set eyes with light and medium shades.

For example, you can apply IMBE Eye Shadow BRONZE 03 or SEASHELL 04 to the eyelid to highlight the eye. Darker colors would make your eyes recede even more. The crease can be emphasized with medium, matte shades to give the eye area contour. Shades like IMBE Eye Shadow AUBURN 02 or LAVENDER GREY 05 work well here.

Now simply draw a line along the eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible, and you've created the perfect eye makeup for your eye shape. We say yes – congratulations.

You have drooping eyes if your eye corners are slightly droopy – that is, the eye slopes slightly downwards. This can quickly make your gaze look tired or even sad. The right eye makeup is primarily about visually pulling the eye upwards. Therefore, similar to round eyes, the focus of your eye makeup is on the upper eyelid. Your best friend, however, is concealer. Our TUNKAL Concealer PORCELAIN 01 , in particular, conceals dark circles and small blemishes under the eyes that would otherwise make the eye appear even more downwards or droopy.

A dark eyeshadow like IMBE Eye Shadow BARK 01 or AUBURN 02 applied to the outer corner of the eye perfectly conceals drooping corners. So, first apply it to the outer corner and then gently sweep upwards and blend – we don't want any harsh edges here. The inner corner of the eye remains unpainted.

The next step is a beautifully curved kohl line along the lower outer lash line. You can use either the classic HOLT Eye Pencil in BLACK 01 or DARK GREY 03 or the LUK Cream Eye Stick in BRONZE 01. LUK would also be a good alternative to the eye shadow on the outer corner of the eye. The perfect all-rounder for this eye shape.

Finally, apply WINT Mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes and your slightly tired-looking eyes will be awakened.

Droopy eyelids occur when the eyelid, the part of the eyelashes, is no longer visible because it "slips" under the overhanging upper lid. As with sloping eyes, eyes with droopy eyelids can quickly look tired. The goal here, too, is to make the eyes appear larger with makeup.

You can achieve the "wake-up call" effect by applying light eyeshadow to the eyelid above the lash line. In contrast, you need a darker eyeshadow for the crease just below the bone—basically what eyeshadow stands for: a shade that adds a little dark shadow to your crease, making it appear more receded.

Ideally, you can blend the eyeshadow slightly on the lower lid and in the corners of your eyes. Last but not least, your eyelashes—more specifically, your upper lashes—shouldn't be forgotten. A good coat of WINT mascara will conceal your droopy eyelids in an instant.

Do you have almond-shaped eyes? Then you'll be the queen of eyeliner from now on. Whether it's runny, thin, or wide, eyeliner emphasizes your eye shape, making it perfect for framing.

Smokey eyes, cat eyes – these techniques are perfect for you. You can add more dimension to your eyes by applying a medium eyeshadow shade over the mobile eyelid, from the crease up to the brow bone. Then, apply a deeper matte shade, such as IMBE Eye Shadow BARK 01, to the outer eyelid from the outermost corner to the innermost corner, blending into the medium shade. Create the highlight in the inner corner of the eye with a lighter eyeshadow.

Here's another "wing wink" for you: Whether with the TINCTE Liquid Eyeliner or the HOLT Eye Pencil – for that special wow effect, you can give the fading eyeliner a dynamic curve.

Bright colors set highlights and emphasize.

Medium to dark colors cast shadows and make the eye area recede into the background. They create depth through shading.

Matte colors absorb light, allowing the makeup to fade into the background.

Iridescent or shimmering colors reflect light and highlight the makeup.

Tip No.5:

Neutral colors, such as warm browns, taupe shades, or cream tones, work for all eye colors and skin tones. These neutral colors are ideal for all natural looks.

Tip No.6:

Colors that contrast particularly well with the color of your iris really bring out your own eye color. For green eyes: brown, bronze or copper shades like LUK BRONZE 01 , IMBE Eye Shadow AUBURN 02 or BRONZE 03 . You can also use the Lipstick TAGAROT COPPER 04 for the eyelid. For brown eyes: shades in violet or blue like the IMBE Eye Shadow in LAVENDER GREY 05 . The combination of the Cream Eye Stick LUK in SAPPHIRE 02 and the IMBE Eye Shadow AUBURN 02 creates a beautiful dark violet tone. For blue eyes: brown and bronze shades like IMBE Eye Shadow AUBURN 02 or BRONZE 03 , as well as the Cream Eye Stick LUK in BRONZE 01 or the Eye Pencil HOLT in the shades GOLD 06 or BRONZE 08 .

Tip No.7:

If you have red eyes, you should avoid eyeshadow with red or purple undertones. Neutral browns or gray shades without a lot of red pigment are particularly suitable for optically neutralizing red eyes.
