MILTE Foundation Stick: Iconic Contours
Absolutely fabulous and indispensable as everyday multitaskers: MILTE Foundation Sticks are so special that UND GRETEL deliberately chose the iconic TAGAROT look for their packaging. The white circle with its fine grooves is the hallmark of the Berlin Beauty Rebels. For MILTE—whether developed as a stick foundation, creamy blush, highlighter, or highly pigmented contouring stick—the design was given a slightly wider and shorter shape. And, of course, the focus for all MILTE Sticks was once again on performance, uncompromising environmental and skin-friendliness, and maximum makeup convenience.
The MILTE Foundation Stick has a brilliant future ahead of it – as a practical and perfectly designed "home" for all current and future formats of makeup stick foundation. The MILTE Blush in BLOOM kicked off this series of completely new stick foundations. The shade is inspired by rose petals. Its creamy texture is easy to apply with your fingers; perfectionists and professionals alike reach for the Blush & Contouring Brush. BLOOM blends instantly into the complexion and gives the cheeks a very natural, rosy freshness boost that can be intensified as desired. The MILTE BLOOM Blush Multistick is formulated to be as skin-friendly as possible and can even be applied to the delicate skin of the eyelids and lips for a monochrome look.
A foundation stick never stays alone
The MILTE Highlighter Stick MOONBEAM is the perfect glow partner for BLOOM. The glassy, iridescent, particularly creamy texture with cool shimmering undertones creates a flattering, delicate glow over the BLOOM Blush. And because this feature is as much a part of UND GRETEL as a bear is of Berlin, MOONBEAM is also multi-purpose: You can use the stick on your cheeks, cupid's bow, brows, bridge of the nose, or décolleté. Your glow wish is MOONBEAM's command.
To offer practical solutions for every skin need and every makeup idea, all MILTE ranges are of course constantly evolving. As a true foundation stick, MILTE offers the right color for every skin type – easy to determine with a specially configured Instagram filter . The creamy stick texture covers redness, conceals unevenness, and visually reduces small wrinkles – whether you have very light, tanned, or very dark skin. Like a soft focus, UND GRETEL's best stick foundation clings to every complexion in ten variants – from LIGHT FAIR and a warm ivory tone to BALANCED MEDIUM in golden caramel and the neutral deep brown of DEEP DARK and DEEP DEEP for dark and very dark skin tones.
Foundation Stick with added value – care is a matter of course
And no matter whether it's blush , foundation, lip liner, or highlighter , every foundation stick contains plant-based care ingredients. This effectively combines makeup with skincare benefits—because added value has always been a particular plus of all UND GRETEL ranges. The ingredients are not identical in every foundation stick, so always check the active ingredient list for each. The essential ingredients include, of course, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, as well as a selection of the finest oils and waxes.
Castor oil is an absolute must-have in the cosmetic world. The skin absorbs this non-greasy organic oil particularly well and, with its help, retains measurably more natural moisture. This multi-talented product smoothes even extremely dry skin, has anti-inflammatory properties, stimulates collagen production, and possesses anti-aging properties.
Jojoba oil is extremely skin-friendly: Its natural lipids are very similar to those found in the fat mixture on the skin's surface. Therefore, the plant oil binds particularly well with the skin's own lipid film. The moisture content of the tissue is optimized and transdermal water loss is reduced.
Carnauba wax is considered the hardest and most durable vegetable wax. Rich in fatty acid esters and fatty alcohols, it has a strong film-forming effect, thus protecting the epidermis. The film the wax forms on the skin is waterproof, yet lightweight and non-comedogenic.
Shea butter, with its wealth of ingredients, has moisture-regulating, lipid-replenishing, and soothing properties . This skin-smoothing ingredient strengthens the lipid barrier of the dead skin, making it perfect for the care of dry and damaged skin.
Squalane , a light oil from the olive harvest, is, like jojoba oil, extremely skin-friendly and forms a moisture-retaining protective layer on the skin's surface.
Mimosa wax moisturizes, strengthens the skin barrier, and reduces transepidermal water loss. Skin looks smoother and feels pleasantly soft.
Before the foundation stick: the perfect skin regime
To incorporate a foundation stick into your beauty routine, you need the ideal "makeup canvas." And no one creates that better than a skin routine made in Korea! The 10 steps are considered the top standard for flawless, well-cared-for skin and are the magic formula for a perfect glow.
Step 1 – Oil-based cleansing : To gently cleanse the skin of all the day's (or night's) buildup, the PURE Cleansing Facial Oil combines rosehip seed and lavender oils with healing extracts of calendula and rosemary. Even eye makeup can be removed with circular massage movements, then removed with the PURE CLOTH .
Step 2 – water-based cleansing: The Korean routine always includes a second cleansing, usually with a foam that removes any remaining oil from the skin.
Step 3 – Exfoliation: For a twice-weekly exfoliation, UND GRETEL recommends enzyme-based products. These gentle exfoliants are removed with lukewarm water after a few minutes of exposure. This leaves the pores open and clean, and prepares the skin for subsequent active ingredients.
Step 4 – Toner: A toner helps, among other things, restore the skin's natural pH balance. UND GRETEL recommends certified organic rose water. As a byproduct of rose oil production from Damask rose blossoms, it boasts all the valuable properties of the oil. Free from alcohol, artificial fragrances, and other additives, it delivers healing plant compounds and essential oils, as well as the antioxidants vitamins B, C, and E, to the skin. At once soothing and invigorating, it acts as a moisturizing toner to balance the complexion and counteract inflammation.
Step 5 – An Essence: What's the difference between an essence and a serum or booster? Korean beauty theory gets nitpicky here, calling essence a lighter version and serum the richer version of the active ingredient. The line is blurred – but why not describe the same thing with two terms? If you want to address multiple skin needs, you can simply skip the distinction and apply both serums in two steps.
Step 6 – Serums & Ampoules: Every skin type, at every age, has a variety of needs, from hyperpigmentation and dullness to wrinkles and anti-aging. A wide range of specialists offer their expertise in active ingredients. Niacinamide, zinc, vitamin C, bakuchiol, and other boosters: These now become part of your routine, allowing them to penetrate the skin even more intensively in the next step. A powerful moisturizer like PUR should never be missing. Simply apply a few drops of the multi-hyaluronic serum to your skin, massage in with a Gua Sha , and allow it to absorb well.
Step 7 – The Sheet Mask: Sheet masks have become so popular and widely available, thanks in part to Korean facial care. Again, it's important to consider your skin's needs when choosing a mask. Does it need more firmness, calmness, or glow? Depending on your answer, apply a mask daily and allow it to work for about 10 minutes. Then remove the sheet mask and massage in any excess product, making sure to include it on your neck and décolleté.
Step 8 – Eye Care: Since the skin around the eyes is more delicate and vulnerable, it requires special treatment. AMIE provides both extra moisture and protection from external influences. Gently pat a small amount with your ring finger and let it work to avoid damaging the delicate skin. Due to its composition and texture, AMIE also works great as a lip balm – this skin is also thinner than the rest of the body and is often neglected.
Step 9 – The Moisturizer: Now it's time for ZART . This cell-renewing face cream delivers a peptide cocktail to the skin, which, together with regenerative active ingredients, provides rich protection and care day and night.
Step 10 – Sun protection: Asian women wear hats outdoors, and even more so in the sun. And underneath, they wear sunscreen with the highest SPF. Before starting your makeup routine, you can test whether a primer would be appropriate with your foundation stick of choice (as a balancing makeup base, it would be FIRST in line); but that's optional, not required. And which skin foundation stick should you buy? Ideally, any that suit expressive makeup, of course.
